Biographies

George P. Wanty, III
George has been an investing professional for over 30 years, beginning in the fixed-income department of Morgan Stanley and later becoming Executive Vice President with Lehman Brothers in New York and San Francisco. George also has over 15 years of real estate development experience, including limited partnerships in Michigan and Mexico. He also has served on the boards of several non-profit and charitable foundations. George holds a Masters in Business Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Henry G. Swain
Prior to founding Midwest Capital Advisors, Hank spent 22 years practicing corporate, securities, real estate and commercial transactions law in West Michigan, in both law firm and in-house counsel settings. While in private practice he also served on his firm's finance committee and as a trustee of the firm's profit-sharing and retirement plan. Throughout his career he has served on the boards of and advised several non-profit organizations and charitable organizations. Hank received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and his Bachelor of Business Administration (with distinction) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Jeffrey A. Gietzen
Jeff brings to Midwest Capital Advisors more than 30 years of experience in retail, including several years as CEO of D&W Food Centers, Inc., a major regional food retailer in West Michigan. In addition to his duties at MCA, Jeff has board-level responsibilities for numerous other businesses, community organizations and charitable foundations in the Midwest. He is a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College and attended Western Michigan University and Aquinas College.

Edward Pike
Ed has been an investment professional for over 20 years, beginning with Merrill Lynch as a financial consultant and business financial services specialist. He later served as a vice-president of investments at Prudential Securities and then as president of The Northport Group, a private personal and corporate financial consulting firm. Throughout his career Ed has served as an officer, director and advisor for several for-profit and non-profit organizations. He holds a bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University and has completed the professional education program through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado.
