Risk Management
There can be no return without some measure of accompanying risk. We provide appropriate exposure to those risks that have the potential to add return to the portfolio while minimizing exposure to risks that do not. We continuously strive to find asset classes that are statistically likely to provide optimal return for the risk assumed, as well as investment vehicles that will provide the most efficient, precise, diversified and cost-effective exposure to those asset classes.
Cost and Expense Management
A significant way to enhance portfolio returns is to make sure they are not dragged down by excessive (and unnecessary) advisory, fund, transaction or other fees, or by taxes. Reducing or eliminating unnecessary fees and expenses is just as effective as gaining returns when aiming to enhance a portfolio’s value, yet it’s often overlooked.
